Strikingly creative design meets tradition in the Kintsugi collection. Designed by Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba for Seletti, this pottery range draws inspiration from an ancient Japanese technique. Kintsugi means “golden joinery” and refers to the art of joining pieces of broken pottery with a lacquer and gold powder mixture.
This technique aims to celebrate the beauty of imperfection and to also highlight the history of an object. Here, Maracantonio takes the concept to a new level. An artistic take on Kintsugi, this Fruit Bowl features different porcelain pieces connected with sections of 24-carat gold.
Thus, the functional product doubles as a decorative object, providing the perfect starting point for interesting conversations. Other designs from this collection are also available in our shop.
